This exhibit depicts left carpal tunnel and Guyon’s canal syndromes with surgical releases. Pre-operatively, the median nerve is entrapped and inflamed within the carpal tunnel. The ulnar nerve is similarly entrapped within Guyon’s canal. An incision is made in the skin of the left palm. Both the carpal tunnel and Guyon’s canal are released with a scalpel to decompress the nerves. A neuroma on the digital nerve of the thumb is dissected away and excised. Lastly, tenosynovitis is removed from around the flexor tendons in the wrist.
